Ale Works is proud to partner with artisan brewers and distillers from around the Montana who’s skill, care, local sourcing, and stewardship help ensure the survival of Montana’s craft-made heritage, rural landscapes, and way of life.
A few fun facts:
• Our handcrafted, state-of-the-art, forty-handle draft system employs a delivery system fed by insulated lines running overhead from the nearby keg cooler with every keg monitored by high-tech cartridges and foam prevention units (FOBS for beer geeks), ensuring a continuous flow of fresh brews kept in optimal condition from keg to glass.
• 95% of our draft beers are Montana-made, and most of those,
are hand-crafted in or around Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley.
• We pour 155,000 pints of Montana craft brews annually.
• Our cocktails feature over 30 Montana artisan spirits,
crafted with regional herbs, fruits and berries,
from our house infusion program.
Brews & Spirits
Our selection of craft drafts and artisan spirits is sourced from over seventy local and regional brewers and distillers, all fiercely dedicated to the liquid arts.
As the rapidly-growing craft bevs movement has exploded, it has been a challenge and a pleasure to keep pace.
We pour freshly-pulled, perfectly temp’ed local and regionally crafted IPAs, XPAs, farmhouse saisons, nut browns, Scottish ales, stouts, porters, unfiltered hefes, goses, light ambers, complex pales, sours, and more.
Our selection also includes high-quality gluten free and gluten removed beers, kombrewskis, craft-brewed root beer on tap (for the child in all of us),
and a tap handle dedicated to artisan hard ciders.
Ale Works Hop Harvest
Every October, we pluck the fresh Cascade hops that climb up our exterior brick walls. We hand our harvest over to our friends at the Bozeman Brewing Co. who create a fresh-hopped Ale Works Hopzone brew exclusively for us! It couldn’t be better to contribute our own hops to our own signature brew, as well as to the Community Collaboration Terroir IPA that the brewery makes annually from a combination of hops that both grow wild across the Gallatin Valley (and are picked by our beer-geek community) and those donated by local backyard growers like us. The annual harvest party at the brewery is a highlight of every autumn, as the community pitches in to clean and pluck. Ale Works donates the food, and the beer, well, it flows….
